After the 2-0 win over Sunderland, coach Ruben Amorim sent a strong message to the players MU, demanding they “fight to the death” to prove their belief and save his job during tough times.
Ruben Amorim challenged his players to prove their true support for him after the 2-0 victory against Sunderland at Old Trafford, which helped ease some of the pressure on the Portuguese coach. Goals from Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko secured full points, giving MU a bit of breathing space before the international break.
After the match, Mount declared the whole team “100% behind the coach,” but Amorim wants the players to demonstrate that through their performance on the pitch—not just words. “We must prove it by our actions,” Amorim stressed. “I know they want to give their best, and I also know they don’t want frequent managerial changes. But as I said this week, supporting the coach means ‘I will fight to the death in every transition.’”
“Sometimes when I look at the team, I am sure the players understand that we can do better. The important thing is to show it on the field, not only at Old Trafford but also in away games.”
