After joining the U23 Vietnam team camp, Viktor Lê had to train individually.
On the afternoon of October 5th, the U23 Vietnam team held their first training session during the joint camp with the national team in the FIFA Days of October 2025. This is part of a long-term preparation plan that the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has implemented early, aiming at two important goals: the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 U23 Asian Championship finals.
At this training session, coach Đinh Hồng Vinh had the full squad as the overseas Vietnamese midfielder Viktor Lê joined the camp around noon that day. According to the coaching staff, Viktor Lê faced difficulties traveling due to stormy weather and requested to join later. The U23 Vietnam coaching team showed understanding and support to help the player prepare in the best way.
However, it was noted that the overseas Vietnamese player from Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club and striker Nguyễn Quốc Việt had to train separately in this session. Viktor Lê had a minor injury after the match against PVF-CAND in the 6th round of the V-League.
The U23 Vietnam team will have two days to train at the VFF Football Training Center before heading to the UAE for training starting October 7th. There, coach Đinh Hồng Vinh and his team will have two quality friendly matches against U23 Qatar on October 9th and 14th.
The acting head coach of U23 Vietnam affirmed that these two matches are very important, helping to test and evaluate some potential players. During this process, the coaching staff regularly communicates with head coach Kim Sang Sik to establish the best criteria for selecting the team members.
