Phong Phú Hà Nam tastes their first victory

Phong Phú Hà Nam has just secured a valuable win against TP.HCM II in the 8th round of the 2025 National Women's Championship – Thái Sơn Bắc Cup.

The final match of round 8 featured a showdown between TP.HCM II and Thái Nguyên T&T. Having not won any matches since the start of the tournament, coach Nguyễn Thị Khánh Thu's team was determined to claim 3 points and surpass their opponents TP.HCM II. In the first half, they still faced many challenges and had to end the initial 45 minutes with a 0-0 draw.

In the second half, the northern team’s efforts were rewarded. In the 54th minute, from a teammate’s pass, Tạ Thị Thủy skillfully shot over the opposing goalkeeper to open the scoring for Phong Phú Hà Nam. In the remaining minutes, Trần Thị Duyên and her teammates played with great determination. They defended their lead to secure a 1-0 victory over TP.HCM.

Earlier in the earlier matches, TPHCM I continued to strengthen their top position with a 2-0 win over Thái Nguyên T&T. Meanwhile, Hà Nội was held to a 1-1 draw by Than KSVN, dropping them to third place on the standings.
