Two players unexpectedly withdraw from the Malaysia national team, holding their breath awaiting FIFA's decision

The goalkeeper duo Haziq Nadzli and Azri Ghani have suddenly requested to withdraw from the Malaysia national team for the two matches against Laos due to health issues.

According to Malaysian media, on the very day the "Malayan Tigers" departed for Laos to prepare for the match on October 9th, the second and third goalkeepers, Haziq Nadzli and Azri Ghani, unexpectedly asked to withdraw due to health problems. This represents a major personnel change as both had outstanding seasons with Kuching City and Negri Sembilan clubs.

Coach Peter Cklamovski quickly called up two replacements, namely Sikh Izhan Nazrel Sikh Azman from Selangor and Suhaimi Hussin from Terengganu. The number one goalkeeper position for Malaysia remains with Syihan Hazmi.

Earlier on October 3rd, the Australian coach announced a 29-player squad to prepare for the matches against Laos in the Asian Cup qualifiers. It is known that today, October 6th, is the final deadline for the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to appeal to FIFA regarding the "illegal" naturalization of seven players. However, football officials previously revealed they have not submitted any appeal to FIFA yet, citing "not having received the full decision." As of the morning of October 6th, the association has not issued any official statement on the matter.

"Harimau Malaya" departed for Vientiane, Laos on October 6th. They reportedly have no training sessions in Malaysia and will move directly to Laos to begin practice there. After the first match on October 9th, the "Malayan Tigers" will return home to Bukit Jalil Stadium (Kuala Lumpur) to host the opponent on October 14th.
