The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has officially issued a 19-page conclusion document about the naturalization scandal involving the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), declaring it a serious violation of football integrity.
Specifically, FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee detailed the violations committed by FAM in this case. In the files submitted by FAM to FIFA, the association claimed that the seven naturalized players had Malaysian ancestry, specifically through their grandparents.
However, according to FIFA’s direct investigation results, the ancestors of these players did not have Malaysian origins. The players are: Gabriel Arrocha (Spain), Facundo Garcés (Argentina), Rodrigo Holgado (Argentina), Imanol Machuca (Argentina), João Figueiredo (Brazil), Jon Iraurgui (Spain), Hector Hevel (Netherlands).
