La Liga and Serie A take unconventional routes to profit by holding league matches in other continents: Barcelona heads to the US, Milan to Australia.

The Premier League stands as the leading European league due to its exceptional earning capacity. Even teams fighting relegation have the financial strength comparable to championship contenders in the other four major leagues. This monetary edge has made the Premier League stronger over time. La Liga and Serie A, however, lag behind in profitability compared to the Premier League, and to sustain themselves financially, they are resorting to unconventional methods.

According to the latest report from journalist Rob Harris, the match between Villarreal and Barcelonawill be held in Miami, USA, this December, whileAC Milan's game against Comois scheduled for February in Perth, Australia.

It is reported that UEFA has approved the requests of these two giants from La Liga and Serie A, Barcelona and Milan, to hold league matches overseas, meaning La Liga games in the US and Serie A games in Australia are now fully authorized.

Villarreal, Barcelona, AC Milan, and Como are making these moves primarily for financial gain. Especially Villarreal and AC Milan, who will sacrifice home advantage by playing their home matches abroad. However, driven by money, they are willing to do so. The most exhausted are the players, who have to endure long intercontinental flights just to play league games. This situation makes the Premier League even more attractive to players in the future, as it offers higher earnings with less travel hassle.
