Legendary Thierry Henry congratulates Bukayo Saka after the Arsenal star achieved the milestone of contributing to 100 Premier League goals, confirming his status as a top player.
Young star Bukayo Saka has reached a memorable career milestone by marking 100 goal contributions (including 55 goals and 45 assists) in the Premier League, coinciding with his 200th appearance for Arsenal. This remarkable achievement earned him special praise from legend Thierry Henry, who is regarded as the greatest icon in Arsenal’s history.
After a 2024–2025 season disrupted by a hamstring injury, Saka has made a strong comeback this season. He has scored 3 goals in 7 matches, including the decisive goal securing a 2–0 victory over West Ham last weekend. His precise penalty in the 67th minute not only helped Arsenal climb to the top of the table before the international break but also placed Saka among the best young players in Premier League history for goal contribution efficiency.
This impressive milestone filled Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, wearing number 14, with pride. On Instagram, he wrote:
“From the ACADEMY to EMIRATES. From DEBUT to 200 PREMIER LEAGUE GAMES with 55 GOALS and 45 ASSISTS! Keep pushing forward, Bukayo! I’m incredibly proud of you!”
Interestingly, Saka and Henry are currently the only two players in Arsenal’s history to have scored in their 200th Premier League match. Henry scored twice against Crystal Palace in February 2005 on his memorable anniversary.
Although there is still a long way to go to match the huge numbers Henry achieved, Saka is steadily carving his name into Arsenal’s history. The 24-year-old midfielder is now only 9 goal contributions away from entering the top 5 players with the most combined goals and assists for the “Gunners” in the Premier League.
With Arsenal finishing second for three consecutive seasons, Saka’s brilliance is seen as a key factor in the club’s ambition to reclaim the English crown after nearly two decades. Additionally, under coach Mikel Arteta, the team is considered a leading contender in the Champions League, where Saka is expected to continue setting new records for himself and the club.
