FIFA shared an interesting image showing Quang Hải alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Yesterday (October 6), the official Facebook page of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) uploaded a viral photo related to midfielder Nguyễn Quang Hải.
Accordingly, FIFA extended greetings to the Vietnamese people on the Mid-Autumn Festival, including an image of Quang Hải’s jersey placed next to those of two legends, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, along with the caption "Caught Trung and Thu-Rằm celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival at Hàng Mã."
This photo also features two other global football stars, Kevin de Bruyne and Marcus Thuram. Interestingly, these two players are popularly known by humorous nicknames given by Vietnamese fans. While De Bruyne is called "Anh Trung," Thuram is known as "Thu Răm." FIFA’s caption is considered a clever wordplay to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
For Quang Hải, being placed "at the same table" with two football legends is regarded as a great honor for the 1997-born star. He is currently one of Vietnam’s top midfielders and an indispensable player for the national team.
Up to now, the CAHN player has represented the Vietnam national team 74 times, scoring 14 goals and earning numerous prestigious titles. Notably, he has won two AFF Cup championships (2018 and 2024), a gold medal at the 30th SEA Games, and reached the quarterfinals of the 2019 Asian Cup.
Previously, Quang Hải’s name was well-remembered for many remarkable moments at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship. "Hải con" scored several unforgettable masterpieces in Thường Châu, including a stunning free-kick in the final against Uzbekistan, despite Vietnam finishing as runners-up.
During the FIFA Days call-up in October, Quang Hải was unable to participate due to injury. However, this period is seen as an important time for the 1997-born star to fully recover, preparing to return at his best for the remaining matches of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
