Not yet at full fitness and top form, partly due to changes by Xabi Alonso, Valverde still strives to maximize his impact on Real Madrid’s right side.

Sometimes, in a team filled with stars and egos, what makes the difference is not goals or trophies, but attitude. Federico Valverde understands this better than anyone. Amid debates about his unwillingness to play right-back, the Uruguayan chose to respond through his actions.

Alonso’s decision to place Valverde at right-back was not just a tactical choice but a psychological test. Fede passed that test with absolute professionalism.
