Vietnam secured a 3-1 win against Nepal at Gò Đậu Stadium in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. The team in red dominated the match completely. At the 9th minute, Tiến Linh scored the opening goal with a decisive shot, but Nepal quickly equalized. The first half ended 1-1, though the home team gained an advantage when an opposing player was shown a red card and sent off.
In the second half, Vietnam maintained their commanding control. After persistent efforts, Xuân Mạnh and substitute Văn Vĩ both scored consecutively, sealing a 3-1 victory for the hosts.
With this result, Vietnam has 6 points and currently stands second in Group F, behind Malaysia. On October 14th, Vietnam and Nepal will face each other again at Thống Nhất Stadium.
