Closing ceremony of the AFC/VFF “C” certificate football coaching course held in Da Lat.
Today (October 9), the AFC/VFF “C” certificate football coaching course held in Da Lat city (Lam Dong province) officially concluded after 13 days of active and effective training.
This is the first time Da Lat has hosted a coaching course, marking an important milestone in spreading modern coaching knowledge to coaches working in Lam Dong and the Central Highlands region.
The course was organized by the Vietnam Football Federation, with teaching led by the Federation’s Technical Director Koshida Takeshi, along with assistant instructors Tran Duy Quang (PVF Youth Football Training Center), Nguyen Luong Phuc (Sports Center II – Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Binh), and Phan Ba Hung.
A total of 24 trainees attended, including 2 coaches from the Lam Dong Sports Training and Competition Center and 22 coaches from professional and amateur football clubs nationwide. Da Lat Stadium, inaugurated in 2023, was chosen as the venue and met all professional and facility requirements for the training program.
Notably among the trainees was former national female player Do Thi Ngoc Cham - Vietnam’s Best Female Player in 2008, and striker Xuan Nam, currently playing for Hai Phong Club, who ranked second in the top scorers list of the Lao National Championship.
Throughout the course, trainees were equipped with fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge of football coaching according to AFC standards, while also developing teamwork skills, critical thinking, and a sense of responsibility.
Holding the course in Da Lat not only helps disseminate professional knowledge to the Central Highlands but also lays the foundation for the development of Lam Dong football, aiming to provide Lam Dong Football Club with more resources, expertise, and confidence to gradually conquer higher-level competitions within the national league system.
