Lee Williams is settling in smoothly at CA TP HCM and is being carefully mentored by coach Lê Huỳnh Đức.
Striker Lee Williams is rapidly adjusting to his role at Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club. During training sessions, the 18-year-old forward is receiving thorough support from teammates and coach Lê Huỳnh Đức. This assistance has boosted his confidence, enabling him to showcase his skills in various on-field situations, especially in finishing.
Previously, on October 8th, CA TP HCM officially announced the signing of Vietnamese overseas striker Williams Lee. Born in 2007 and standing at an impressive 1.90m, he will wear jersey number 33 for the police-affiliated team. Under the mentorship of Lê Huỳnh Đức, the second greatest scorer in Vietnam’s national team history, Lee Williams is expected to quickly adapt to his new environment.
This striker formerly played for Warrington Town in England’s sixth tier on loan from Stockport County. There, Williams appeared in 16 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist. Notably, he also featured in the English League Cup for Stockport during the 2024/2025 season.
Returning to Vietnam for the 2025/26 season, Williams signed with Viettel Army Club. However, since the team already registered two overseas Vietnamese players, Damian Vũ Thanh and Kyle Colonna, Williams was likely loaned to CA TP HCM to gain experience and development. At only 18 years old, Williams Lee still needs time to learn and refine all his skills.
With Williams Lee joining, coach Lê Huỳnh Đức gains more attacking options for Ho Chi Minh City Police FC. If Williams puts in effort and earns playing time, he could become one of the key players to watch for the club this season.
Importantly, Williams Lee is also awaiting procedures to obtain Vietnamese citizenship. If successful, he could represent national teams in the future. With his ideal height and professional training background, Williams Lee promises to be a valuable asset for Vietnamese football in the coming years.
