Southeast Asian fans collectively react as Xuan Son officially makes his comeback

Numerous Southeast Asian fans were surprised upon hearing that Xuan Son has officially resumed playing.

October 11 was a joyful day for Vietnamese football as two star players, Xuan Son and Doan Van Hau, simultaneously returned to the pitch. Xuan Son appeared in the second half of the friendly match between Nam Dinh Club and PVF CAND Youth, while Van Hau also played in the training match between CAHN and Hanoi FC.

This is clearly great news for the two managing clubs as well as the Vietnam national team, as these highly anticipated stars have officially returned. The Southeast Asian fan forums were also astonished by this news and shared many notable comments about Xuan Son and Van Hau’s cases.

A user named Alice Quen King commented: "In the endthe Malaysian national team will have to pay the price. With these two players, Vietnam will easily secure victory over them in the second leg, just wait and see." or "The Malaysian team is just starting to get nervous, as expected."

Another fan from Indonesia left a humorous remark: "It’s a pity that Xuan Son and Van Hau from Vietnam didn’t get the chance to face the seven illegally naturalized Malaysian players," An Indonesian supporter named Ratno Suyanto also stated: "Keep it up, Vietnam national team, defeat the team that falsifies documents."

Another comment discussed the naturalization policies of Vietnam and Malaysia: "Xuan Son had to wait 5 years to play for Vietnam, unlike some players from Malaysia."

Specifically for Xuan Son, the naturalized striker of Vietnam’s national team recovered faster than expected. Initially, the 1997-born forward was predicted to be out for the entire 2025 season and only return in the second half of the season. However, after 9 months and 6 days since his injury in the second leg final of the 2024 AFF Cup, Xuan Son was able to put on his boots and play again.

Meanwhile, Van Hau, who has suffered persistent injuries for years, still shows a strong desire to come back and is gradually showing positive signs.
