MU is about to receive 'great news' from Barcelona

Barcelona is "extremely excited" about Marcus Rashford's performance and plans to activate the £30 million buyout clause in his loan agreement from MU.

Since departing Old Trafford to join the Catalonia club, the English forward has made a strong impression with his work ethic, skill, and professional demeanor. At 27, Rashford is currently with the England national team preparing for the World Cup qualifier against Latvia on Tuesday night, but at Barcelona, he has left a clear mark with 3 goals and 5 assists in 10 appearances this season.

Initially, Barcelona’s leadership was doubtful that Manchester United would let Rashford go, believing "there must be some issue" with him. However, all suspicions were quickly erased after they witnessed the striker’s excellent performances.

Barcelona will make Rashford's transfer permanent

An insider shared: "At first, Barcelona was hesitant due to the club’s financial situation, and they also suspected Manchester United was 'playing tricks' by agreeing to loan out a player like Rashford. But Rashford’s brother, Dwaine, convinced them that nothing was wrong and Marcus would not let them down. Now, Barca is genuinely surprised to be able to acquire him at a price they consider a bargain."

According to SunSport, Barcelona only needs to pay £25 million plus £5 million in bonuses to finalize Rashford’s permanent transfer, while MU will receive a percentage if the player is sold in the future. This is something MU has been eagerly anticipating since they wanted to sell Rashford rather than just loan him out.

Coach Hansi Flick also confirmed that he was the one who urged sporting director Deco to bring Rashford to Camp Nou last summer: "I told Deco in the summer, 'Please bring Rashford to me. The team needs a player like him.'"

Despite an unimpressive start, Rashford quickly regained form by shining in the Champions League match against Newcastle, scoring a brace and helping Barcelona secure victory. After the match, Coach Flick said: "I am truly happy for him. Those two goals will give Rashford tremendous confidence."

Not only has Rashford won over Barcelona, but he has also impressed England coach Thomas Tuchel. He was brought on in the second half of the friendly win over Wales 3-0 at Wembley last week and is hopeful to start in the upcoming away match against Latvia.
