Leaving the England national team, Coach Tuchel takes charge of England's great football club

A source revealed that Coach Thomas Tuchel might return to coaching in the Premier League after the 2026 World Cup.

Thomas Tuchel was appointed head coach of the England national team by the Football Association in 2024 and currently holds a contract with the "Three Lions" until the end of the 2026 World Cup.

So far, everything has gone quite smoothly except for the slip-up against Senegal last June. Under Tuchel’s leadership, England has won 6 out of 7 matches, including the most recent victory over Wales at Wembley.

Currently, Tuchel remains fully focused on England with the ambition to bring the Three Lions back to the top of world football, where they have stood since 1966. However, a source revealed that he “does not truly enjoy” this job, despite appearing content in interviews.

Former Chelsea, Benfica, and West Ham defender, now commentator Scott Minto, stated on talkSPORT that Tuchel may return to the Premier League after the World Cup, replacing a coach under heavy pressure.

Minto shared that he believes "Ruben Amorim will stay until the end of the season" at Man Utd before Tuchel takes over.

Specifically, Minto said: “In my opinion, Ruben Amorim will remain until the season's end, and then Thomas Tuchel is likely to take charge. Let’s wait and see if things unfold that way.

From what I’ve heard, Tuchel doesn’t feel completely comfortable with the England job. We will have to wait and see how he performs at the World Cup… if he manages to win the title.

I think he was somewhat surprised by the nature of the national team coaching role, as previously Tuchel was used to being tested continuously against top opponents in the Champions League.”

Since taking over on November 1, 2024, replacing Erik ten Hag, Ruben Amorim has faced a tough period at Old Trafford with a poor record: 19 wins, 12 draws, and 19 losses in 50 matches. He has never led the team to two consecutive wins.

Despite heavy pressure and rumors of dismissal if results don’t improve, Man Utd co-owner, billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, publicly expressed support for the Portuguese coach this week.
