Thailand's U17 women's squad began the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship qualifiers perfectly, defeating Turkmenistan's U17 women 17-0.
The Thailand U17 women's football team made an unforgettable debut by overwhelming Turkmenistan U17 with a 17-0 scoreline in the opening match of Group F at the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship qualifiers held in Chonburi province. This win solidifies Thailand U17 women's status as top contenders for advancing and sends a strong message to regional rivals.
From the very first minutes, Thailand U17 displayed clear superiority in technique, speed, and teamwork. At the 5th minute, Pattramont Saengta opened the scoring with a neat finish inside the box. By the 8th minute, Kulisara Limpawanich earned a penalty and successfully converted it herself, doubling the lead.
The intense pressure from Thailand quickly broke down Turkmenistan's defense. Within the first 25 minutes, Thailand U17 led 5-0 with consecutive goals from Charlotte Sitthiprasong Ellarie, Kulisara Limpawanich, and Montida NumNuan. At the 30th minute, Kulisara completed her hat-trick with a beautiful chip shot from outside the box, before Pattramont added another goal, ending the first half at 10-0.
In the second half, Thailand U17 maintained full control of the match. At the 47th minute, Kawinthida Kikhunthod extended the lead to 11-0, and just three minutes later, Pattramont completed her own hat-trick. Not stopping there, Arisa Taemsakul and Pattaree Boonmala each scored stunning goals from outside the box, pushing Thailand ahead 14-0 with over 20 minutes remaining.
In the final minutes, Pattramont scored two more goals, while Pattaree contributed a brace, sealing the biggest win so far in the qualifiers at 17-0.
This victory not only secured full 3 points for Thailand U17 but also gave a huge morale boost for the team ahead of upcoming Group F matches. Notably, Thailand's U17 attack displayed a devastating form with diverse scoring methods ranging from central combinations, long-range shots, to close-range finishes.
