Last Monday, Moise Caicedo shared a statement on Instagram declaring his split from agent Manuel Sierra. The post is now removed.
Moises Caicedo (Chelsea’s central midfielder) officially ended his partnership with agent Manuel Sierra. This was confirmed through a statement posted on the player’s personal Instagram earlier in the week, which was quickly deleted late that same day.
According to the post, Caicedo authorized his lawyer to announce the termination of his relationship with Sierra, who had represented him in the blockbuster transfer from Brighton to Chelsea in the summer of 2023. At that time, The Blues paid up to £115 million, making Caicedo one of the most expensive signings in Premier League history.
In a statement quoted by Football London, it clearly stated:
“Chelsea star Moises Caicedo has ended his representation by former agent Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide, and is also no longer represented by Ali Barat of Epic. The contract between them ended on August 14, 2025, and the player has now appointed trusted individuals.”
Notably, Football Division Worldwide (Manuel Sierra’s company) currently represents Manchester United’s coach Ruben Amorim and captain Bruno Fernandes. However, according to the statement, Caicedo has officially withdrawn from their client list.
Sources from the UK indicate this split happened as Caicedo wants better control over his image, contracts, and future. His “appointment of trusted people” suggests the 23-year-old aims to build a new, closer team with clearer career direction at Chelsea.
Since joining The Blues, Caicedo has made 107 appearances, scored 6 goals, and contributed to winning the Conference League and Club World Cup. Despite his youth, he is regarded as a key player for coach Enzo Maresca in the 2025/26 season.
However, alongside the agent news, Caicedo is also causing concern among fans due to injury issues. He was not included in Ecuador’s squad for the October friendlies against the USA and Mexico. Chelsea announced he is recovering from a minor collision and needs time to regain full fitness.
Earlier, sources from Saudi Arabia revealed that Al Nassr (Cristiano Ronaldo’s club) expressed interest in signing Caicedo last summer. However, Chelsea’s management firmly rejected all offers, affirming he is an indispensable part of the club’s plans.
Under coach Enzo Maresca, Caicedo is considered a crucial link in pressing and ball circulation. He not only recovers possession but is also encouraged to help build play from midfield.
Currently, Chelsea is preparing for an away match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday noon. If his recovery goes well, Caicedo could return to action in this game.
