Lenn-Minh Quang Trần, an 18-year-old right-back with Vietnamese roots currently at MVV Maastricht, has been appraised at 250,000 Euros by Transfermarkt following a strong half-season performance in the Netherlands.
A promising new figure among Vietnamese-origin players in Europe, 18-year-old right-back Lenn-Minh Trần has taken a major step forward in his career, being valued at 250,000 Euros on Transfermarkt—a figure that highlights the notable progress of this young talent with dual Vietnamese-Belgian heritage.
Born on March 13, 2007, in Belgium, Lenn-Minh Trần stands 1.69 meters tall and excels as a right-back but can also play as a right winger thanks to his speed, attacking support, and mobility.
Joining MVV Maastricht from KRC Genk’s U18 team at the start of the season, the young player quickly proved his abilities and became a key figure in the first team. He was given playing time in 9 of the first 10 matches, helping MVV start the season steadily in the Eerste Divisie.
Before moving to the Netherlands, Lenn-Minh Trần had an impressive season with Belgium’s U18 squad, appearing in 13 matches, starting 12 of them, and scoring 2 goals. He also participated in competitive tournaments like the UEFA Youth League (4 matches) and U18 Elite 1 PO A (3 matches), gaining valuable experience at the European youth level.
According to Vietnam Football Scout, Lenn-Minh Trần’s father is Vietnamese and his mother is Belgian. Although he currently holds only Belgian citizenship, his family revealed that his grandfather still has a Vietnamese birth certificate, which could open the possibility for him to acquire Vietnamese nationality in the future. Minh Trần’s family is exploring new citizenship regulations with hopes that he will soon be eligible to play for Vietnam’s youth teams or even the national team if called up.
The football environment in the Netherlands is considered an ideal destination for young players to develop. The Eerste Divisie is not overly demanding in terms of results but requires high tactical awareness and physical fitness, helping players like Lenn-Minh Trần improve defensive skills, ball control in tight spaces, and modern tactical thinking.
If he continues to maintain consistent form, it is likely that this 18-year-old right-back will soon attract the attention of scouts from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
The 250,000 Euro valuation not only confirms Lenn-Minh Trần’s talent but also signals that Vietnam is gradually gaining more promising young faces on the European football scene.
