Brazil coach feels cautious ahead of the clash with coach Văn Sỹ Sơn

Coach Mano Polking appeared very careful prior to CAHN's match against SLNA, now managed by the newly appointed coach Văn Sỹ Sơn.

This weekend, CAHN will travel to SLNA's home ground for the Round 7 match of the V-League.

During a recent training session with the capital team, Coach Mano Polking expressed respect for the opponents, who are considered underdogs. The Brazilian strategist believes the Nghệ An team will present many challenges for CAHN and praised his counterpart Văn Sỹ Sơn, recently appointed as SLNA's head coach.

Specifically, Polking stated: "It’s always challenging to face a team that has just changed its head coach because they bring new ideas and fresh approaches to the game. This makes it somewhat difficult for us to analyze the opponent.

I have faced coach Văn Sỹ Sơn before, so I have some understanding of his coaching style, but that’s not everything. We cannot provide perfect analysis or prepare for the upcoming match as if it were an ordinary game."

In the past, Mano Polking remained unbeaten in two encounters against coach Văn Sỹ Sơn last season, with one win and one draw. However, the police team once struggled against the disciplined playing style that Văn Sỹ Sơn established at Quảng Nam.

Therefore, it is not surprising if CAHN faces another tough 90 minutes at Vinh Stadium, where host SLNA is ready to cause an upset under a coach with many years of experience in Vietnam’s top-tier league.

This was confirmed by coach Polking himself: "As I said, we need to train hard, and the whole team must play strongly as in previous matches. We will also assess the fitness of players returning from the national team to prepare well for both V-League matches and regional competitions."

Currently, CAHN is one of the few teams still undefeated in this V-League season, alongside Ninh Bình and Thể Công Viettel. The police team ranks second on the leaderboard with 13 points, one point behind newcomer Ninh Bình. Therefore, a victory over SLNA could put CAHN at the top after Round 7, especially since the capital team will face a challenging away match against Hanoi FC.

The match between CAHN and SLNA will kick off at 18:00 on October 18th.
