On October 15th, Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn, President of the Vietnam Football Federation, took part in the fourth meeting to assess the preparation work for the Asian Cup finals, in his roles as an AFC Executive Committee member, Chairman of the AFC Competitions Committee, and a member of the Asian Cup Organizing Committee for the 2023–2027 term.
The meeting was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, chaired by Mr. Mariano V. Araneta, Jr., Chairman of OCAC, with participation from committee members and representatives of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), the tournament’s host nation.
With less than 450 days remaining until the opening of the 2027 Asian Cup, OCAC affirmed its commitment to ensuring that all preparation stages meet world-class standards, aiming for the most successful Asian Cup in history.
During the meeting, OCAC members received updated reports on the progress of key areas including competition and auxiliary infrastructure, organizational and operational tasks, and the experience offered to fans, teams, and the media.
In his remarks at the meeting, Mr. Mariano V. Araneta, Jr. emphasized: “AFC aims not only to host a successful Asian Cup but also to set new benchmarks for quality, scale, and the influence of Asian football.”
In his capacity as AFC Executive Committee member, Chairman of the AFC Competitions Committee, and member of the Asian Cup Organizing Committee for 2023-2027, Vietnam Football Federation President Trần Quốc Tuấn exchanged views and contributed expert opinions with committee members to ensure preparations proceed on schedule and align with AFC’s strategic direction.
The 2027 Asian Cup final will be held from January 7 to February 5, 2027, across five cities in Saudi Arabia, featuring 24 of Asia’s top national teams. The tournament is expected to mark a new milestone, solidifying Asian football’s standing on the global stage.
