MU welcomes back a key player ahead of the big clash with Liverpool

Ahead of the tough trip to Anfield this weekend, Manchester United got encouraging news with defender Noussair Mazraoui expected to be back from injury.

According to sources from The Sun, the Moroccan player has completed medical tests at the Carrington training ground and could be included in the squad for the Liverpool match.

Mazraoui has been sidelined since the early-season 2-1 victory over Chelsea due to a muscle injury. However, the latest scans indicate his recovery is better than initially expected. Coach Ruben Amorim is likely to make the final call during the last training session before the game, depending on the 26-year-old defender’s condition.

If he comes back, Mazraoui is expected to start as the right-back in Amorim’s familiar 3-4-3 formation. Nonetheless, whether he will begin the match remains uncertain, as the Portuguese manager does not want to take risks with a player just returning from injury. During Mazraoui’s absence, Diogo Dalot has yet to provide full defensive assurance.
