Vietnam National Team Defender Suspended for V-League Round 7

Thể Công Viettel will be missing defender Bùi Tiến Dũng in the 7th round of the 2025/2026 V-League due to a suspension following the red card he received in the previous match. This is considered a significant loss for the soldier team as they maintain an unbeaten streak and compete at the top of the table.

In the recent 6th round, Thể Công Viettel faced a tough away match at Ninh Bình. During this game, defender Bùi Tiến Dũng was sent off in the 33rd minute after committing a foul on Gustavo inside the penalty area. This incident not only led to a penalty against his team but also forced Thể Công to play with one less player for most of the match. Nevertheless, thanks to their courageous play, coach Popov's squad managed to secure a 1-1 draw. This was also Bùi Tiến Dũng’s first red card in his V-League career.

The suspension means the 30-year-old defender will definitely miss the match between Thể Công Viettel and SHB Đà Nẵng on October 20.
