In the clip, Hendrio Araújo — a Brazilian midfielder renowned for his exquisite skills and having trained at La Masia (Barcelona) — appears wearing Hà Nội FC’s familiar pink checkered jersey. Speaking fluent Vietnamese with a warm, deep voice, he states: "I want to send my thanks and say goodbye to Hendrio Araújo...". Alongside are the words "Thank you and goodbye Hendrio Araújo" with a big smiling emoji, causing many fans to be startled and worried: Has the newly joined "Brazilian star" run into problems? Or is he about to leave the capital’s club shortly after signing a three-year contract in May 2025?

The truth behind this "prank" is both surprising and meaningful. Today (October 16), Hendrio Araújo officially completed the Vietnamese naturalization process and was given the new name Đỗ Hoàng Hên. This marks a major milestone, allowing him to qualify to play for the Vietnam national team in the future, while also solving the foreign player registration issue in the V-League — where he was previously removed from the first half of the 2025/2026 season roster due to pending paperwork.

The clip, cleverly produced with Hendrio "bidding farewell" to his old self, was actually Hà Nội FC’s humorous way to announce the good news. The coaching staff and teammates took part in filming, turning a formal moment into a playful prank that helped ease fans’ concerns after Hendrio’s period of "anonymous" training with the team. At 30 years old, Hendrio was a key player who helped Bình Định secure 3rd place in the 2022 V-League and Nam Định win the 2023/2024 championship.
