The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) was honored to be among the three nominated member associations for the “Member Association of the Year – Diamond category” at the AFC Awards Riyadh 2025, a prestigious event by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) recognizing outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations in Asian football.

In the end, the Football Association of Thailand won the Member Association of the Year award in the Diamond category. The Platinum category (highest) was awarded to the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Gold to the Hong Kong Football Association, and Ruby to the Lao Football Federation.
Nevertheless, VFF’s inclusion among Asia’s top three member associations is proof of the right direction in the national football development strategy, while reinforcing Vietnam’s growing status, reputation, and role within the Asian football community.
The year 2025 marked many outstanding activities by VFF, including successfully organizing national tournaments at youth, professional, futsal, and women’s football levels; effectively implementing international cooperation projects such as “Community Football in Vietnam (FFAV)”, coaching and refereeing training programs, and school football development.
National teams also achieved many encouraging results in regional and continental competitions, helping to affirm Vietnam’s position within the AFC system. Recently, VFF has also carried out numerous practical social responsibility programs aligned with AFC’s direction, promoting football’s humanitarian values, advancing gender equality, life skills education, and contributing to community development.
