Vietnam Football Federation attends the 2025 AFC Member Associations Presidents & General Secretaries Workshop
On October 17th, the Presidents and General Secretaries Workshop for AFC Member Associations and Regional Federations, organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Riyadh, officially commenced.
This three-day event brings together leading football leaders and experts from across Asia to discuss innovative strategies, cooperation, and sustainable development for the AFC member federation system.
Representing the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) at the workshop were Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – AFC Executive Committee Member and VFF President, and Mr. Nguyen Van Phu – VFF General Secretary.
During the workshop, in-depth discussion sessions and presentations were designed to promote innovation in sports governance, technical aspects, finance, digital transformation, grassroots development, and international connectivity. The organizers invited respected international speakers alongside leaders from AFC member federations to present and exchange ideas aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability of Asian football in the coming decade.
From VFF’s perspective, this workshop is an opportunity to absorb advanced management models and practical experience from other federations, while also presenting Vietnam’s football initiatives and reform efforts – ranging from youth training development, national league organization, coach and referee capacity building, to expanding community football and social responsibility.
Active participation in international forums like this workshop helps affirm Vietnam’s proactive role in the Asian football community, while strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange among member federations.
The workshop will end on October 19th, paving the way for new cooperative initiatives and specific action plans between the AFC and its member federations in the upcoming period. VFF commits to continuing its pursuit of professional, transparent, and sustainable development, contributing positively to the overall growth of Asian football.
