A tense battle, CAHN drops points at SLNA's home ground

(Football results) - The dramatic tie between SLNA and CAHN at Vinh Stadium on October 18 witnessed an incredible free-kick strike by Lê Nguyên Hoàng, plus a series of intense plays up to the last minute.

On the afternoon of October 18 (Vietnam time), at Vinh Stadium, SLNA hosted CAHN as part of the 7th round of the 2025/26 V-League season. The match was exciting from the start, featuring an open attacking style and many notable plays.

In the 4th minute, Alan from CAHN fired the first shot, but goalkeeper Cao Văn Bình made an excellent save. In the following minutes, the visitors kept pressing as Leo Artur repeatedly tested his luck with shots from outside the box and created chances for teammates, yet SLNA's defense held firm.

After missing several opportunities, CAHN was caught off guard in the 41st minute: captain Lê Nguyên Hoàng executed a magnificent free kick over the wall, sending the ball straight into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper Nguyễn Filip helpless.

In the second half, coach Mano Polking's team launched a full-scale attack. Their efforts paid off in the 57th minute when Leo Artur was perfectly positioned to tap in a close-range shot, leveling the score at 1-1 after VAR confirmed the goal's validity. CAHN continued to push forward seeking a second goal; Quang Hải even netted a ball in the 82nd minute, but VAR disallowed it for offside.

The final minutes were intense as SLNA's central defender Dale Moore received a direct red card in the 88th minute for a dangerous tackle on Hugo Gomes. During over 10 minutes of added time, both sides had chances to decide the match. At 90+3 minutes, Bá Quyền nearly scored a spectacular goal for SLNA, but the ball narrowly missed the post.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw. This result means CAHN still cannot claim the top spot, trailing Ninh Bình by one point but having played one match fewer. Meanwhile, SLNA remains deep in the lower ranks, only three points above the bottom team despite having played more matches.
