Minh Vương shines brightly as Đồng Nai easily defeats Long An

Football result - Minh Vương’s two stunning goals helped Đồng Nai overcome Long An, temporarily taking the top spot in the National First Division standings.

From the early minutes, the visiting team Đồng Nai started confidently and quickly created dangerous chances. In the 19th minute, Minh Vương was fouled just outside the penalty area, earning a direct free kick for the visitors. Two minutes later, he executed a beautiful free kick, sending the ball into the far corner of the net to open the score 1-0 for Đồng Nai.

Not to be outdone, Long An quickly launched a counterattack. In the 40th minute, following a well-coordinated play, Anh Tài unleashed a sharp shot from outside the box; the ball skimmed the underside of the crossbar before going into the net, leveling the score at 1-1 for the home side.

Just when it seemed the first half would end in a draw, Minh Vương shone again in the second minute of added time. Receiving a precise pass from Alex, the midfielder from Hải Dương skillfully evaded the defender and calmly finished to put Đồng Nai ahead 2-1 before halftime.

In the second half, the pace slowed down as neither team created many dangerous opportunities.

The visitors mainly relied on set pieces, including two headers by Tấn Sinh, but the ball went too high over Long An’s goal.

Meanwhile, the home team adopted a defensive counter-attacking style, which did not pose much difficulty for coach Nguyễn Việt Thắng’s squad to manage.

In the end, Đồng Nai won 2-1 against Long An. This result allowed Đồng Nai to temporarily climb to the top of the National First Division table with 10 points, two points ahead of Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu, although they have played one more match.
