Trần Trung Kiên showed clear disappointment after HAGL suffered a rapid 0-3 defeat against Hải Phòng in the 7th round of the V-League.
Visiting Hải Phòng’s Lạch Tray Stadium, HAGL once again disappointed by losing 0-3. The Mountain Town team collapsed from the very early minutes due to defensive errors. Within less than 5 minutes, the duo Friday and Tagueu scored 2 goals for the home side by capitalizing on their chances. Near the end of the second half, Luiz Antonio added another goal to seal a 3-0 victory for the hosts.
After the match, goalkeeper Trần Trung Kiên openly expressed his extreme disappointment. The U23 Vietnam player stated:
"We are very upset about this heavy defeat. Conceding 2 goals so quickly within the first 10 minutes was because our team did not perform well. We have to accept the reality that we played poorly. We must try harder for the upcoming matches."
This loss means HAGL has gone 7 consecutive rounds without a win. Even more sadly, they have officially dropped to the bottom of the table with 3 points and only 1 goal scored since the start of the season. The Mountain Town club is truly facing difficulties, and with their current form and squad, challenges are expected to continue ahead.
Specifically, in the next round, coach Lê Quang Trãi’s team will return to Pleiku Stadium to host Thể Công Viettel – one of the few unbeaten teams this season. It is highly likely that victory will still elude the team owned by bầu Đức.
