Great news for football enthusiasts in Phu Tho and Vietnamese football fans: Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) will soon be upgraded to a capacity of 35,000 seats according to international standards.

Viet Tri Stadium will have a brand-new appearance

The planned expansion of Viet Tri Stadium to accommodate up to 35,000 spectators has sparked excitement among local football fans and the sports community nationwide. This not only represents a major advancement in sports infrastructure but also highlights Phu Tho’s strong ambition to become a preferred venue for high-profile national and regional sporting events.

Currently, Viet Tri Stadium is the home ground for Xuan Thien Phu Tho Football Club competing in the 2025 - 2026 National First Division, with a capacity of about 20,000 seats. Although it is not one of the largest stadiums in the country, Viet Tri has made its mark as a fortress for the Vietnam national teams in several international tournaments, maintaining an unbeaten record in seven official competitions held there.
