Cristiano Jr, Cristiano Ronaldo's eldest son, has begun a new chapter wearing the Portugal youth team jersey.
Cristiano Jr, the oldest son of Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to return to play for Portugal's youth squads after being called up for the first time to the U16 national team for a tournament in Turkey.
According to the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), the 2010-born rising star is included in the list of 22 players selected for the U16 team, which will compete in the League Cup from October 30 to November 4 in Antalya, Turkey.
Previously, this prodigy had appeared five times for the U15 team and made his debut last May at the Vlatko Markovic tournament in Croatia, where he made a strong impression by scoring twice in the final against the host team, although they eventually lost 2-3.
In that tournament, Ronaldo’s eldest wore the iconic number 7 jersey of his father and played as a left winger, the same position CR7 occupied early in his career.
With a physique superior to most peers, Cristiano Jr often uses this advantage to shield the ball and contest effectively. Additionally, he demonstrates refined ball control in tight spaces, confidently escaping pressing in difficult situations. Not only prominent in attack, the number 7 of Portugal U15 frequently supports defense and often initiates sharp counterattacks for the team.
Since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to play in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Jr has joined Al Nassr’s youth system and quickly made an impact. The young talent displays a sharp goal-scoring instinct, reflecting that he has inherited his legendary father’s striking qualities, becoming a key player in the club’s youth lineup.
Before joining Al Nassr, Cristiano Jr trained at prestigious European academies. Born in 2010, he developed in Juventus’s youth setup, then followed his father to Manchester United, before continuing his path in the Middle East, where he is now regarded as one of Al Nassr’s most promising youngsters.
