Nam Dinh aims to surprise the Japanese team in the Asian Cup

Coach Vu Hong Viet confirmed that the Nam Dinh squad will strive wholeheartedly against their opponent Gamba Osaka in the third round of ACL Two.

At 5:00 PM on October 22, the Steel Blue Nam Dinh Club will enter their third match, which is also the toughest game in Group F of the AFC Champions League Two, facing the host team Gamba Osaka (Japan). The Japanese representative currently holds 6 points after 2 wins, equal to Nam Dinh’s points but ranked higher due to goal difference.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Coach Vu Hong Viet stated: "This is an important match because both we and our opponents are competing for the top spot, having each secured 2 victories previously.

"I am very impressed with Gamba Osaka’s midfield. They have two highly skilled central midfielders. Additionally, their forward wearing number 7 is also very dangerous. These are the key players we need to watch in this game," Coach Viet assessed.

Also attending the press conference was defender Lucas Alves. He said: "Teams from the J-League are all very strong, and Gamba Osaka is no exception. We have some experience facing Japanese teams, having played against Hiroshima last season. It won’t be easy, but Nam Dinh will give their all in tomorrow’s match."
