Exposed Manchester United's squad for Arsenal, Rashford lost again! Amorim reminded one to try to correct his name

British media have confirmed that Marcus Rashford did not travel south to London with Manchester United on Saturday, meaning he will miss Sunday's FA Cup third-round tie with Arsenal. Boss Ruben Amorim refused to discuss Marcus Rashford's availability before the game, having missed last weekend's double red meeting with Liverpool due to illness, making it all the more likely to leave in the winter window after missing out on the Gunners.

The United squad travelled to Stockport train station to catch a ride to London, but Marcus Rashford was not part of the squad. The Daily Mail has revealed that the 27-year-old England international has been given permission from Manchester United to approach other clubs. His brother and agent Dwayne Maynard spoke to a number of interested teams earlier this week, including AC Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

Of these, Borussia Dortmund are said to be the most positive, with more talks planned with Marcus Rashford's side following a 3-2 home defeat to Bayer Leverkusen on Friday. They are on the verge of selling Donyère Mullen to Premier League side Aston Villa and are in need of a replacement, with Marcus Rashford at the top of their list, along with Chelsea's Chukwuemeka and Brentford's Kevin Shard.

AC Milan senior adviser Russell Ibrahimovic also confirmed his interest, saying: "I know Marcus [Marcus [Rashford] very well, I played with him when he was younger. It's not an easy transfer, we haven't talked to him yet, so we'll see if we can talk to him.'

Manchester United fielded a strong squad for the FA Cup, and as the defending champions, Amorim will not want to go out early and will be hoping to end a five-game winless run. Backup goalkeeper Altay Bayndir will start, but this could be one of a limited rotation of positions. In addition to Marcus Rashford, United's injured quartet – Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Evans and Victor Lindelof – continued to miss the game.

Another high-profile Manchester United Academy player, Kobe Meno, has recently been involved in transfer rumours because he was rumoured to be asking for a high salary of £200,000. He was named in the Manchester United and Arsenal squad, however, Amorim reminded the 19-year-old England international that he must put in a good performance to prove he deserves a pay rise.

"Kobe [Meno] has improved a lot in the last few games, but you think he's a 'finished product,' but he's not. He's great, but he could have gotten better. He has a lot of potential and can grow to a higher level." 'He's a dangerous player, good on the ball, playing between the lines. He's got an important place in the team, he's a good example, he's improving, but all the players are improving.'

The €100 million winger Antony has also been named in the squad and made a surprise move this week to sue his former club Ajax after a two-year absence. In the summer of 2022, he was accused of seeking a move before moving to Manchester United, and as a result, he missed his third Eredivisie game in Jaffu. After the transfer, Antony found out that Ajax had deducted hundreds of thousands of euros from his salary.

Dutch media confirmed that Antony has sued Ajax, saying that the other party's deduction of money is an illegal act. A spokesman for the Dutch Football Association's arbitration committee confirmed that the case was heard in Utrecht on Monday, with Anthony turning to the arbitration committee six months ago. Cases of this nature are usually decided within one month of the hearing.

Manchester United in Arsenal's 21-man squad: Andre Onana, Bayndier, Tom Heaton; Diogu Dalow, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Leni Yoro, Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia; Meno, Ugarte, Casemiro, Toby Collier, Bruno Fernandez, Eriksen; Anthony, Garnacho, Zilkze, Hojlund, Amad Diallo.
