Coach Polking: 'CAHN's goal is to secure 3 points against Macarthur'

In the ACL Two group stage match against Macarthur FC (Australia), CAHN club aims to achieve a full 3 points.

On the morning of October 22, CAHN's coach Mano Polking attended the press conference ahead of the third group stage match of the AFC Champions League Two against Macarthur FC. The German-Brazilian strategist shared:

“CAHN's objective is clearly to get 3 points. This group is unpredictable, and to advance far we must win this crucial match. It’s also a gift for our fans.”

Regarding the opponent, Mr. Polking commented:“They have changed a lot since winning the National Cup last season. Right after the group draw, I talked with foreign player Stephan Mauk. He used to play for Macarthur FC and has plenty of experience.

We also reviewed videos of the opponent. They are a strong team with good stamina, effective wing attacks, and agile players. CAHN has prepared tactics thoroughly for the match. Moreover, playing at home helps us execute our technical plans well.”

Sharing more about personnel allocation across different competitions, Coach Mano Polking said: “We focus on all fronts; our tactics and players remain mostly consistent. I believe dropping points in one match would complicate others, so CAHN does not neglect any tournament.

Since CAHN participates in multiple tournaments, preparation from the start of the season is crucial, especially regarding squad depth. In international matches, teams can field more foreign players, so we rotate them to maintain balance. I trust CAHN's current squad can perform well in all four competitions we are involved in,” Coach Polking concluded.

Also speaking at the pre-match press conference, central defender Hugo Gomes expressed determination: “We are in a tough group with strong opponents, so the team trains hard aiming for a home victory.”

According to Coach Polking, some CAHN players are injured and cannot participate in this match. However, he still has many quality alternatives.
