Manchester United is reportedly set to sign a tough Bundesliga player this winter transfer window, with a potential deal worth £43 million! Baleba has already expressed his transfer intentions to the manager.

Manchester United must add a midfielder in the winter window, yet Ruben Amorim’s primary targets like Adam Walton and Elliott Anderson come with high price tags, making deals under £60-70k unlikely. Therefore, they might pursue other options. Reports indicate that Angelo Stiller from Bundesliga side Stuttgart is one such candidate, who is very eager to join United. This summer, Stiller openly stated, "One day I will definitely play abroad."

The 24-year-old midfielder has long attracted Manchester United’s attention, and it is said that both parties had contact during the final moments of the summer window. United needs a new midfielder because Casemiro is nearly 34 and his contract is expiring, Kobe Meno’s future is uncertain, and Ugart’s performance has been disappointing.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed: "Stiller is highly regarded within Manchester United. The club has been monitoring him and will continue to do so in the coming weeks and months."

Stiller is a key player for Stuttgart under Nagelsmann’s management, boasting impressive stats with 1 goal and 4 assists. His contract includes a release clause, but Stuttgart can activate it for £2 million, allowing them to set their own transfer price.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Stuttgart hopes to sell Stiller for £43 million (€50 million). Among Manchester United’s midfield targets, this is currently the most affordable option. Other candidates could cost double or even triple this amount! For example, Premier League Brighton values 21-year-old Carlos Baleba at £120 million.

This contributed to Manchester United’s failed pursuit in the summer window, and the rumors seemed to affect the young Cameroonian international, who has struggled this season and was substituted three times before halftime. The UK’s The Sun reported that Baleba recently met with manager Fabian Hürzeler to express his stance.

Baleba told the coach that he will no longer consider transferring and is committed to playing for Brighton. He also explained that the difficulties he faced on the pitch were not solely due to the transfer rumors. Baleba missed a month of preseason training due to injury, coinciding with the peak of the transfer speculation, leading some to suspect he was skipping training to force a move.

In fact, Baleba was troubled by a knee injury, which affected his preseason preparation. This injury significantly impacted his physical condition at the start of the new season, undermining his confidence and consistency in early performances.

However, after expressing his feelings to the coach, Baleba has gradually regained form. In Brighton’s recent matches against Wolves and Newcastle, his performances improved noticeably. Especially in the game against the "Magpies," he played exceptionally well, helping Brighton secure a 2-1 victory. This was widely regarded as Baleba’s best display of the season. After the match, Baleba acknowledged this on social media: "Our team won this game, and I feel like I’m back in form now."

Interestingly, Brighton’s next opponent is Manchester United, and Old Trafford fans may not want to see Baleba perform well in front of them this time. In the past, Baleba has even scored a penalty against United.
