Thanks to the 3-3 draw between Taipo and Beijing, CAHN continues to lead the group.
On the evening of October 23, CAHN hosted Macarthur in the group stage of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 (Asian Cup 2). Although playing better throughout the match, the Vietnamese representative had to settle for a draw at home against the Australian club Macarthur.
Despite the unfortunate draw, CAHN maintains the top spot in Group E of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 East region. This is because earlier, the other two teams in the group, Taipo and Beijing, ended their match with a surprising 3-3 draw.
In the first half, Taipo quickly took a 2-0 lead with goals from Michel Renner and Temelkovski, but Beijing Guoan managed to reduce the deficit to 1-2 before halftime. In the second half, Beijing Guoan played brilliantly, scoring two consecutive goals to take a 3-2 lead.
It seemed the victory would go to the Chinese representative, but in the final minute of regular time, Michel Renner scored a crucial goal to secure a 3-3 draw. With this result, Tai Po missed the chance to overtake CAHN, holding only 4 points, one less than the leader, while Beijing Guoan, despite high expectations, surprisingly sits last in the standings with just 2 points.
Against Macarthur, CAHN kept up the pressure throughout the first half and finally found the opening goal in the 30th minute. Following a successful ball recovery by Adou Minh, Lê Văn Đô quickly took advantage and delivered a decisive close-range finish, putting host Công an Hà Nội ahead 1-0.
In the 76th minute, Macarthur capitalized on a set-piece opportunity. From a corner kick, Tomislav Uskok rose powerfully to head the ball, leveling the score at 1-1 for the visitors. This was also the final score of the match. After three rounds, CAHN leads Group E with a total of 5 points from 1 win and 2 draws, one point ahead of the closest rival.
