FIFA President aims to establish a FIFA Football Academy in Vietnam

(Chinhphu.vn) – On the afternoon of October 26, continuing his attendance at the 47th ASEAN Summit and related high-level meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

President Gianni Infantino emphasized his high regard and support for the development of football in Vietnam.

Mr. Infantino noted that Vietnamese football has made significant progress recently, with players improving in both physical strength and technical skills. He expressed his desire to build a FIFA Football Academy in Vietnam to further enhance the capabilities of Vietnamese football.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked President Gianni Infantino for his support of Vietnamese football over the past period and hoped that the President would continue to assist in developing Vietnamese football and connecting it with Italian football, one of the world’s leading football nations.

The Prime Minister also invited the FIFA President to visit Vietnam soon and participate in several activities related to Vietnam. Mr. Gianni Infantino gladly accepted the invitation.
