Mikel Arteta said something unexpected as he continues to lead the Premier League

Arteta also praised former Palace player Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal last summer for £67.5 million: “Eze has the ability to create magical moments. He used to trouble us when he was at Palace, and now he’s doing it for Arsenal. That goal showed the composure of a top player.”

Tactically, Arteta highlighted the team’s discipline and persistence: “Palace stifle every attack you make. But my players kept their rhythm, stayed calm, and patiently waited for the moment. That’s what top teams must do if they want to win the title.”

The strategist also thanked the fans at Emirates Stadium: “I said before the match they needed to play with us – and they did. Every tackle, every interception, they lived with the team. That energy helped Arsenal not to fall.”
