Barcelona's 37-year-old striker Lewandowski was linked with a move to Manchester United last week. Despite the Polish superstar being available on a free transfer after this season, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has dismissed the idea of bringing him in. Lewandowski's career is winding down and his performance is fading. Manchester United requires a new striker but intends to target younger talent with greater promise.

Premier League transfer expert Dean Jones said, "There have indeed been rumors linking Manchester United with Lewandowski, but the likelihood of this transfer is hard to imagine. Even though Lewandowski would be free, it doesn't align with the club’s operational philosophy. Some say he could mentor Shashko, but that idea seems presumptuous and probably unnecessary. I'm not sure people realize how much Lewandowski earns; in fact, he is definitely Barcelona's highest-paid player, no exceptions. United has strict rules on player wages, especially for veterans."
It is rumored that Lewandowski earns as much as £545,000 per week at Barcelona! Jones added, "The team does need a balance of youth and experience, and the squad requires seasoned players. But even if Lewandowski halves his salary, his pay would still exceed that of most United players. Unless he drastically reduces his wage demands, I can't see Sir Jim agreeing to sign him."
The British Daily Mirror reported that Manchester United has monitored Lewandowski’s contract situation. Amourin admires his experience and scoring ability, but the owner Sir Jim has rejected any possibility. He fears that such a deal would cause more problems than benefits, similar to Cristiano Ronaldo’s return back then.
British media confirm that Manchester United needs to bring in another striker. Amourin hopes the new forward can compete with Shashko and share the goal-scoring responsibilities. Dutch international Zirkzee’s shooting is too weak and does not meet these requirements. Therefore, Zirkzee may leave either in January or next summer.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that although Zirkzee has not formally submitted a transfer request, if the current situation continues, he might eventually do so. A January departure is "very likely." United recently achieved three consecutive wins, but Zirkzee has only played 8 minutes. Serie A club Roma reportedly view Zirkzee as their top target for next year’s recruitment. They are even considering ending Evan Ferguson’s loan early in the winter window to sign Zirkzee as a replacement.
Manchester United will strive to sign a player with superior shooting skills. Although United’s recent form has improved, competing with clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool requires continuous strengthening of the squad. United still has the ability to attract excellent players. The 22-year-old Shashko revealed last week that he chose to join United over Newcastle’s higher offer because he has dreamed of this for years.
He said, "This is not just my dream; for many players, it might only be a dream. This is a goal I want to achieve in my career, especially to play for a club like this. When I heard I could come here and had a great chance to make the transfer, especially to Manchester United, I was extremely excited. This has always been something I longed for. Now that the dream has come true, I am truly very happy."
When asked if Manchester United was the only club he wanted to join, Shashko replied, "Yes. For me, playing for a club like this, in a stadium like this, is simply my dream. This is something I have always wanted to achieve."

During Manchester United’s three consecutive wins, the team scored a total of 7 goals, with 5 of them contributed by summer signings Cunha, Mbemo, and Shashko. Sir Jim, watching from the stands, beamed with satisfaction, feeling that the £225 million spent on transfers by him and the management team was money well spent.
