The 10th round of La Liga featured the El Clásico, with Real Madrid playing at home against Barcelona. With many of Barcelona’s main players injured, Bellingham provided a goal and an assist, Mbappé scored and missed a penalty, and Real Madrid secured a 2-1 win to break their four-game losing streak versus Barcelona. This result puts them 5 points clear at the top of the league, showing that Alonso’s team has taken a strong lead in the race for the La Liga championship this season.

Before the La Liga El Clásico, the world’s most expensive active player, Yamal, valued at 200 million euros, provocatively criticized Real Madrid. On a pre-match TV show, he boasted about his last away game against Real Madrid ending 4-0 and accused them of “stealing,” “complaining,” and “playing dirty.” His remarks angered Real Madrid fans. However, during the match at Real Madrid’s stadium, Yamal was ineffective, managing only two shots with none on target, attempting eight dribbles with four successes, and a total of21 turnovers of possession.

Yamal acted arrogantly, but after Barcelona’s 1-2 away loss to Real Madrid, he got into a confrontation with Spain’s national team captain Carvajal. Yamal challenged him from a distance to “come out and fight,” but when Vinícius came down to accept the challenge, Yamal retreated back to the locker room. Some fans described Yamal’s exit as a “hasty retreat.”
In my personal opinion, Yamal is talented but lives a chaotic lifestyle and has a bad temper. Although he wears Barcelona’s number 10 shirt and is worth 200 million euros—the highest in football—he cannot be compared to Messi. Yamal is still young, but with such reckless behavior, his professional career may not last long. Mbappé seems much more mature and stable in comparison.
