Coach Xabi Alonso spoke out after Real Madrid’s victory over Barcelona in the "El Clásico."
Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 in the 10th round match of this La Liga season. Alonso’s team earned 3 points thanks to goals scored by Mbappe and Bellingham.
This was also Real Madrid’s first win against Barcelona after four consecutive losses across all competitions last season. In the post-match press conference, coach Xabi Alonso expressed his joy about Real Madrid’s victory and also touched on topics concerning Vinicius Junior and Dani Carvajal.
"I’m not sure if it added extra motivation, but the team was very determined. Before the match, we talked about how important this clash was. I’m very happy for the boys. They needed the feeling of winning a big game. Their motivation has not decreased," said coach Xabi Alonso.
