Yamal is about to buy the house of a Barcelona legend

Lamine Yamal, the 18-year-old prodigy of Barcelona, is expected to spend tens of millions of Euros to acquire the house formerly owned by the legendary Piqué, demonstrating his huge appeal off the pitch.

At just 18 years old, Lamine Yamal has become one of the most promising young stars in world football, not only due to his talent but also because of his enormous commercial value. Recently, the Barcelona talent is reportedly set to pay tens of millions of Euros to own the villa once belonging to Blaugrana legend Gerard Piqué and his ex-wife Shakira.

According to El Pais, Yamal is interested in the house where Piqué and Shakira lived together during their public relationship from 2010 until their split in 2022. The estate, built in 2012, covers 3,800 square meters and includes three houses: a main one and two auxiliary buildings, indoor and outdoor pools, a tennis court, gym, multiple terraces, and even a recording studio.

Initially, the entire property was listed for 14 million Euros in 2022, but after one auxiliary house was sold separately, the remaining price is about 11 million Euros for the two main houses, which have a total of six bedrooms and five bathrooms. Sources say Yamal is ready to pay this amount, not including a large budget expected for renovations according to his personal tastes.

Few can afford 11 million Euros plus renovation costs, but for Yamal, this is entirely feasible. The young player signed a new 6-year contract with Barcelona in May, reportedly earning up to 30 million Euros per season, allowing him to make as much as 180 million Euros over the contract duration.

Besides commercial contracts, Forbes predicts Yamal’s total annual earnings could reach 43 million USD, placing him among the top 10 highest-paid footballers worldwide, on par with Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Jude Bellingham.

With outstanding performance since age 15, huge growth potential, and massive money flowing into football, Yamal could easily become a billionaire while his career is still rising. In this context, spending 11 million Euros on the villa once owned by Piqué and Shakira is just a small part of this player’s vast fortune.
