The Vietnam national team is about to hold practice matches, with young players eager to learn from their senior teammates.

After finishing their first week of training, the Vietnam women's football team is prepared to move into practice matches as part of their preparation for SEA Games 33.

According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the Vietnam women's team, led by head coach Mai Duc Chung, is continuing advanced physical conditioning combined with technical and tactical training to best prepare for SEA Games 33.

This afternoon, October 27, the Vietnam team started their second week of training at the VFF Youth Training Center.

Regarding this training camp, central defender Tran Thi Thu said: "The training volume is higher than before, so the whole team's stamina and skills have seen positive improvements.

Every day we have new, exciting exercises. Coach Mai Duc Chung emphasizes that the team is in a tough group, so everyone must prepare thoroughly for the upcoming SEA Games. The young players are adapting well, and opportunities are fairly distributed among all. Anyone who gives their best can be selected to compete."

Meanwhile, young midfielder Ngoc Minh Chuyen shared: "I am 21 years old this year and still need to learn more from the senior players. On the team, we receive rigorous training in fitness and tactical skills.

Coach Mai Duc Chung always stresses that Southeast Asian players must focus on fitness and train carefully to progress further. I will try to adapt better to the professional competition intensity to contribute to the team in the near future."

Coach Mai Duc Chung mentioned that the national women's team is scheduled to have two friendly matches against the Ho Chi Minh City women's club (currently training at the center to prepare for the 2025/26 Asian Women's Club Championship) on November 1 and November 4.

The weather in Hanoi in late October is quite favorable for training, with an average temperature around 20°C, helping players maintain good physical condition and enthusiastic spirits during each training session.

With strong focus and eagerness to perform, the national women's team is steadily improving their fitness and tactics, ready for the friendly matches in early November and aiming for the SEA Games and major goals in 2026. According to the plan, the national women's team will have a training camp in Japan from November 20 to November 30. Before departure, Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team expect to have 1-2 more practice matches to continue their refinement.
