Coach Mano Polking was pleased with CAHN's 1-0 win against CA TPHCM and also commended forward Nguyen Tien Linh.
Despite playing with one less player early on, CAHN secured a convincing 1-0 win over CA TPHCM. Regarding Le Van Do's red card after the match, Coach Polking said:
"Van Do's overly quick reaction led to an unfortunate red card. But after being a man down, the team regrouped, supported each other, fought together to score and maintain the lead.
I am extremely proud and satisfied with the fighting spirit of the entire squad. The players fought together even during the toughest moments.", shared the coach of German-Brazilian descent.
In this match, Coach Polking had to field young goalkeeper Thanh Vinh due to Nguyen Filip's injury. Throughout the 90 minutes, the 2005-born keeper made great efforts and kept a clean sheet. Polking praised his player:
"Another thing I want to highlight is the performance of the young goalkeeper replacing Nguyen Filip (Thanh Vinh). Today, he proved that the coaching staff was absolutely right to give him the chance to play."
Notably, Coach Polking also gave special praise to the opposing captain, Tien Linh: "Tien Linh is currently the best striker in Vietnam. In this match, he had one opportunity, but the deep defensive strategy I organized for CAHN made it difficult for any forward.
Moreover, we also blocked the crossing routes from CATPHCM, limiting the visiting team's chances," Polking commented.
The victory moved CAHN up to second place on the standings with 17 points, 3 points behind leaders Ninh Binh but having played one fewer match. The capital club is among the top contenders for this year’s championship.
