Indonesian media point out the best player of Vietnam U23 at the SEA Games

Forward Nguyễn Đình Bắc is one of the five faces praised by Indonesian media at SEA Games 33.

Recently, Indonesia’s Bola published an article highlighting the 5 most notable Southeast Asian stars in the men's football event at SEA Games 33. Notably, forward Nguyễn Đình Bắc (Vietnam U22) was one of the five players mentioned by Bola.

Bola wrote:"One highly anticipated name for SEA Games 2025 is Nguyễn Đình Bắc. This 21-year-old winger will be a potent weapon in the Golden Star team's attack. He was a key player who helped Vietnam win the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship. The forward currently playing for Hanoi Police Club was voted the Most Valuable Player of the tournament", Bola listed the recent achievements of the player born in 2004.

The famous Indonesian sports newspaper also praised the experience of the CAHN forward. Despite being only 21, Đình Bắc has participated in many international competitions and even represented Vietnam's national team since he was 19.

"Đình Bắc has extensive international playing experience. Besides his achievements at the U23 level, the 2004-born striker has scored 2 goals in 12 appearances for Vietnam's national team,"Bola wrote.

Besides Đình Bắc, four other players werehighly rated by Bola at SEA Games 33, including Rafael Struick (Indonesia), Fergus Tierney (Malaysia), Yotsakorn Burapha (Thailand), and Sandro Reyes (Philippines).

SEA Games 33 will be the last opportunity for Đình Bắc and teammates like Văn Khang, Văn Trường, Quốc Việt, Thái Sơn... to participate. Therefore, the forward from Nghệ An is very determined. Speaking to the media, Đình Bắc said:"This SEA Games will also be the last for our age group. We are determined to win the gold medal this year."

SEA Games 33 will take place from December 9 to 21 in Thailand. In men's football, Vietnam U22 is in Group B alongside Malaysia and Laos.
