Young forward Nguyễn Minh Tâm from HAGL is excelling in the V-League 2025/2026, leaving an important mark and might be selected by coach Kim Sang Sik for Vietnam U23 at SEA Games 33
Nguyễn Minh Tâm, a young player born in 2005 from HAGL, is emerging as a rare bright spot in the club’s major squad overhaul. His impressive performance has attracted the attention of many fans and football experts, while also opening the door for coach Kim Sang Sik to consider him for the Vietnam U23 team at SEA Games 33.
Minh Tâm became more widely known after helping U21 HAGL win the National U21 Championship. Immediately following this achievement, he was promoted to the first team and quickly made an impression. In the 2-2 draw against Nam Định on the evening of October 31, Minh Tâm scored the opening goal for HAGL, securing a valuable point against the reigning champions.
Previously, in the match against SLNA, Minh Tâm also scored the opening goal, ending the team’s goal drought. This goal not only helped HAGL break their scoring dry spell but also marked a memorable milestone in the young striker’s career as his first goal in the V-League.
Minh Tâm’s development path has not been easy. Before getting the chance with HAGL’s first team, he gained experience playing in the Third and Second Divisions with Quảng Ngãi, then Long An in the First Division. Last season, he only appeared in 4 matches without making a notable impact, but this season his playing time has increased significantly, showing remarkable growth.
Besides his physique and diverse finishing skills, Minh Tâm stands out for his intelligent positioning and serious training attitude. Although young, he competes confidently against foreign players and experienced seniors. The trust from Technical Director Vũ Tiến Thành and the green light from club president bầu Đức have helped Minh Tâm regularly secure a starting spot in the attacking line.
Currently, Minh Tâm has contributed 2 of HAGL’s total 5 goals after 9 rounds, matching many top U23 forwards and surpassing some senior players. If he continues to perform steadily, the likelihood of coach Kim Sang Sik choosing him for SEA Games 33 is very high. Given that Vietnam U23 needs forwards with good positioning, finishing skills, and strong mentality, Minh Tâm promises to be a key component of the national team’s future.
