Strong collision with Hoàng Hên, veteran Trọng Hoàng nearly tore his ear

Following the intense contact with Hoàng Hên, veteran Trọng Hoàng nearly had his ear ripped but still persevered through the pain to finish the match.

Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh’s victory over Hà Nội FC in the 9th round of the V-League was not only an emotional match but also featured moments that caused concern for the health of veteran Trọng Hoàng.

Specifically, during a fierce contest in the 54th minute, Hà Nội FC midfielder Đỗ Hoàng Hên accidentally stepped on Trọng Hoàng’s ear. What seemed like a simple collision resulted in a serious injury, leaving the former Vietnamese international with two deep tears in his ear, almost severed completely.

Immediately afterward, Hoàng "bò" required medical staff assistance to stop the bleeding and apply a temporary bandage. Despite recommendations to leave the field for treatment, the 1989-born player bravely stayed on, enduring the pain to complete the full 90 minutes with his teammates. Only after the match ended was he taken directly to the hospital for stitches.

According to Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh’s coaching staff, the treatment was successful. Trọng Hoàng has passed the critical phase but still needs more time to rest for full recovery.

Images of Trọng Hoàng bleeding yet playing courageously have earned great admiration from fans. At 36 years old, he still maintains the “warrior” spirit on the pitch. This spirit has been a major motivation for Hà Tĩnh to play passionately, defeat the title contender Hà Nội FC, and secure valuable 3 points at home.

With this result, Hà Tĩnh rises to 6th place on the league table with 12 points after 8 matches.
