Coach Peter Cklamovski surprisingly shared again the footage of the 4-0 win against Vietnam on his social media amid the Football Association of Malaysia's anticipation of FIFA's verdict.
“Malaysia 4-0 Vietnam. Memories that will last forever”, the head coach of Malaysia’s national team suddenly posted a status along with a video capturing emotional moments from the match between Vietnam and Malaysia in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
This action by the Australian strategist has caused confusion among Malaysian fans, especially as FAM eagerly awaits the outcome of their appeal to FIFA.
Under the post, many fans expressed their concerns: “Is this a sign of good news or bad news? We, Malaysian football supporters, are very anxious and nervous, coach?”, “Confirming it’s bad news. Because it has become a ‘memory’ now. The result will be recorded as a 0-3 loss.”. Meanwhile, many are also worried about the possibility of Coach Cklamovski being dismissed by FAM: “Don’t ‘kick’ our coach. We, the Malayan fans, always keep track of what’s happening.”...
After submitting the appeal on October 17, the Football Association of Malaysia confirmed that FIFA would announce the result on October 30. However, until now, the global football body has not released any official updates.
Meanwhile, several pieces of unfavorable evidence against FAM have been revealed. Specifically, late on October 30, Capitaldenoticias, an Argentine news outlet, unexpectedly published proof showing Facundo Garces (one of the seven accused players) has no Malaysian origin. According to this evidence, Garces’s grandfather is confirmed to be a native of Santa Fe (Argentina), not born in Penang (Malaysia) as FAM had reported.
