Cristiano Jr, Cristiano Ronaldo's son, showcased a brilliant display during the Portugal U16 team's triumph against Wales.
Following their opening Federation Cup win against Turkey, Portugal U16 had another chance to demonstrate their strength in the second round facing Wales.
In this match, Cristiano Jr, who came off the bench in the first victory, was included in the starting lineup and immediately made his impact felt.
The young talent born in 2010 wore number 23 and played on the left wing, the same position where Cristiano Ronaldo made his name early in his career. Cristiano Jr consistently troubled defenders with his dribbling skills and impressive speed.
This was clearly shown in Portugal U16's opening goal. In the 42nd minute, during a swift counterattack, Cristiano Jr sprinted past opponents and the offside trap before delivering a precise low shot to the near post, leaving the opposing goalkeeper with no chance to save.

In the 55th minute, receiving the ball with his back to goal, Cristiano Jr calmly controlled it before skillfully chipping the ball to a teammate making a run, who then crossed it, but the final shot was saved by the Wales goalkeeper.
Besides scoring, Cristiano Jr actively contributed defensively, winning the ball from opponents multiple times and quickly launching attacks. He was substituted in the 61st minute, concluding a flawless performance.
In the remaining minutes, Portugal U16’s quality was evident as Rafael Cabral scored twice to complete the 3-0 win.
This result temporarily puts Portugal U16 at the top of the group with six points from two matches, three points ahead of England U16, who have played one more game.
In the final round, Cristiano Jr and his teammates will face England U16 to decide the Federation Cup champion.
