(Football Result) - Arsenal claimed a 2-0 victory on Burnley’s ground with goals by Viktor Gyökeres and Declan Rice, continuing their outstanding performance in the Premier League’s leading pack battle.
Arsenal traveled to Turf Moor to face Burnley and earned a convincing 2-0 victory after dominating the entire match. Despite strong resistance from the hosts, Mikel Arteta’s squad showed superior class to keep pace with the Premier League’s front runners.
From the early minutes, Arsenal took control of the game and consistently applied pressure. In the 14th minute, Viktor Gyökeres opened the scoring with a precise close-range header from a corner kick, giving the Gunners an early advantage. The visitors’ fast-paced, well-coordinated passing left Burnley mostly defending.
By the 35th minute, Declan Rice doubled the lead with a powerful header following an excellent cross from Leandro Trossard. Two first-half goals allowed Arsenal to fully dominate the match, while Burnley’s pressing efforts rarely created significant chances.

In the second half, Coach Arteta made tactical adjustments, substituting Viktor Gyökeres and Eberechi Eze for Mikel Merino and Ethan Nwaneri. This duo brought fresh energy, helping Arsenal maintain a fluid attacking rhythm. At the 82nd minute, Nwaneri nearly scored when his shot from the edge of the box narrowly missed the post.
For Burnley, goalkeeper Martin Dubravka was a rare bright spot with several impressive saves, notably a diving stop against Norgaard’s shot in the 90+2 minute. Nevertheless, these late efforts weren’t enough to gain any points for the home side.
The 2-0 win extends Arsenal’s unbeaten streak and solidifies their top spot, while Burnley continues to struggle near the bottom, facing relegation risk if they don’t improve soon.
