After the 4-0 win against Valencia at Bernabeu, coach Xabi Alonso applauded the collective spirit and praised the outstanding display by Real Madrid, particularly Mbappe and Vinicius.
After Real Madrid emphatically defeated Valencia 4-0 at Santiago Bernabeu in the early hours of 2/11 (Vietnam time), coach Xabi Alonso expressed his pride, calling it “a magnificent victory” and especially lauding the team’s unity.
“The most important thing is the positive energy we share and the commitment from everyone. Everyone wants to support their teammates, and that creates a very cohesive atmosphere,” Alonso shared.
He added: “The players want to continue the impressive streak we have. This is a collective win and a perfect match in every aspect.”
When asked about the performances of stars Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, Alonso expressed satisfaction: “Mbappe is maintaining a strong scoring form aiming for both individual and team achievements. Whether he scores 60 or 70 goals this season is just speculation, but surely Mbappe will score many more.”
Regarding the penalty situation, Alonso said: “Vinicius was a bit disappointed not to convert the penalty, but Mbappe was the designated penalty taker. Decisions like today’s are clear-cut, and there are no issues within the team.”
The Spanish coach also gave special praise to the team’s fighting spirit: “This is a collective victory; the players worked well together, maintained motivation, and pressed effectively whenever possession was lost. The result truly reflects our solid and efficient performance.”
Alonso emphasized further: “Positive energy, sacrifice, and the desire to contribute for the common good are what create the great chemistry in this squad. That is what we strive for.”
Additionally, Alvaro Carreras was also praised by the coach: “He does everything very well, both in attack and defense. Carreras makes very accurate decisions, and we are fortunate to have a player like him on the team.”
With this victory, Xabi Alonso’s squad continues their excellent form, having won 10 of 11 La Liga matches this season. Real Madrid has now extended their lead over Barcelona to 8 points, despite having played one more match.
